Apat Apat

This beat activity can be conducted with or without lummi or rhythm sticks. Perform the following patterns to Apat Apat from Rhythmically Moving #4. Begin after the introduction.
 
Pattern A:
1. Tap floor 8 times
2. Tap knees 8 times
3. Tap sticks together (clap hands) 8 times
4. Tap shoulders 8 times
 
Pattern B:
1. Lean to right side and tap sticks (clap hands) to the rhythm of the syllables "apple pie"
2. Lean to left side and tap sticks (clap hands) to the rhythm of the syllables "apple pie"
3. Roll sticks (or hands) around each other in front of body similar to motown back-up singers and say "mmmm"
4. Repeat three more times

 

Repeat pattern A and pattern B until the end of the recording. After the last B pattern, roll hands up over head and end by tapping sticks together (or clapping hands) to the rhythm of the syllables "apple pie."
